On their own, kids do some very gross stuff, like putting substances in their mouths that horrify their parents. When that happens dad or mom says “we don’t eat that!” Why do parents do that? Because they love their kids, of course. They don’t want their child to be eating something nasty that they wouldn’t eat themselves.
