We have arrived at this Hebrew Shmita Year of 6022, and tonight at sundown is the start of the first Sabbath of this year. We are excited about the future, but most people are something less than positive about the world in 2022, according to the WEF Global Risks Report. That report shows only 15.8% of people surveyed gave a positive response, when asked: “How do you feel about the outlook for the world?” While the world may be getting down in the dumps, those who know the Lord are feeling quite differently, as summed up in these words:
“But when these things begin to happen, look up, and lift up your heads, because your redemption is near.” Luke 21:28
According to Scripture, the dense darkness we are seeing in the world in 2022 is actually signaling the time for Remnant Israel to rise up and shine! The prophetic Scripture says this of Remnant Israel in these times:
“Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of YHWH is risen on you. For, behold, darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the peoples; but YHWH will arise on you, and his glory shall be seen on you.” Isaiah 60:1-2
Here at Tsiyon, we see this Shmita Year as time for. . .
